Don’t Get Your Piano Tuned

Get it Comprehensively Serviced

Your piano may be in tune or out of tune.

But how is the tone?

Are the mechanics poorly adjusted, making it hard to play?

Are there clicks or squeaks that distract from the music?

When your piano was built, everything worked perfectly. But as the years go by, things gradually go out of order, making it harder to play well, and reducing the enjoyment of playing. Yes, tuning is important, but don’t settle for badly playing, in tune piano. Let us help you draw the musical potential out of your instrument.

What is a Comprehensive Servicing?

A comprehensive servicing is a 2 hour window of time in which we will do as much as we possibly can to make your piano truly better, whatever it may need.

This includes:

During the appointment, we will ensure that the piano is in tune.

Lots of dust and junk finds its way into hard-to-access areas of the piano. Let’s get that out!

We can adjust the density of the hammers to make the piano sound better than it has in years.

We may adjust the mechanics to improve the evenness, power, and control of the keys, enabling you to play better.

Clicking hammer? Pedal Squeaks? Ringing damper? We’ll chase down those troublesome flukes!

Benefits of Comprehensive Servicing

Make Your Piano Holistically Better

This is what Bontrager Piano Service is all about! We want to truly serve your piano, so that it can serve you well. A piano that is not just in tune, but is playing well, offers improved practice quality, greater playing enjoyment, and has higher musical potential.

Prioritize the Piano’s Most Important Needs

Even after the recommended 1-year interval, a piano will sometimes still be close to in tune, and only need a tuning touch up. The technician will prioritize doing whatever the piano needs most — not just default to a partially-needed full tuning.

Pay Only for What You Need

If the piano is in good condition and a full two hour appointment is not needed, you will only be charged for the time actually spent.

Pricing

A Comprehensive Servicing Costs $190. On the first servicing, if the piano is very out of tune or the tuning pins are getting loose, a pitch raise is needed, which is an additional $50. A piano may have some needs that are not possible to address in a regular appointment, and these will be discussed.
